The pod’s most striking feature is its curved architecture. With dimensions of 5.9m in length and 2.4m in width, the entire structure forms a seamless semi-circle. The front and back walls gently curve upward and meet at the centre of the roof, creating a flowing, organic design reminiscent of a hillside dwelling. 

At the heart of the design are the elegant French-style double doors. With full-glass panels, these doors flood the interior with natural light and create a warm, inviting ambiance, setting the tone for what lies within.

From the moment you approach, you're welcomed by two elegant exterior lights that illuminate the rich spruce wood exterior. Painted in a sophisticated light oak finish, the natural wood tones contrast beautifully against the black roof shingles, creating a striking and timeless aesthetic.

Stepping inside, you're greeted by an open-plan layout, carefully designed to maximise both space and functionality. The pod features a large multi-functional room that seamlessly integrates two designated seating and study areas, as well as extensive shelving for books.

The seating areas includes a deep purple cushioned bench, thoughtfully designed with a supportive backrest to promote good posture during study sessions. The second seating area is positioned beneath a breath-taking full-glass side wall, allowing natural light to flood the space while offering stunning views of the surrounding environment. 

Smart Storage & Shelving Solutions

With over 40 metres of shelving, this library pod provides ample storage for an extensive collection of books. Additionally, the six metres of front-facing display shelving allow books to be showcased outwardly, making it easy for students to visually browse titles and engage with the collection at a glance.

This intuitive design enhances accessibility and encourages reading, particularly for visual learners who are drawn to book covers and engaging displays.

Comfortable & Controlled Climate

Designed for year-round use, the pod is fully insulated and fitted with two smart, automatic temperature-controlled electric heaters, ensuring a warm and cosy atmosphere even in colder months.

The warm LED lighting installed beneath the high-row bookshelves creates a soft, ambient glow. This gentle illumination enhances focus, making it the perfect setting for deep study and reflection.

Premium Finishes & Thoughtful Details

Every detail of this pod has been carefully considered to balance aesthetics and practicality. The full-glass wall is sturdy, double-glazed, and tinted one-way, providing privacy while still allowing ample natural light. The interior walls are left in their natural wooden finish, preserving the organic beauty of the material and adding warmth to the space.

For flooring, the pod is fitted with highly durable, wood-effect PVC, offering the perfect combination of style and functionality. Not only does it mimic the look of real wood, but it’s also exceptionally easy to clean, ensuring long-term durability and a bright, inviting atmosphere.
